Gut-brain axis in depression

About This Event

UNDEPRESSME: Understanding the Gut-Brain Axis in Depression with a Focus on Microbial Metabolites – A Project Overview

This webinar by Cristina Rosell Cardona, Ireland, is part of the iPSC webinar series, organised by the ECNP iPSC Platform for Neuropsychiatry Network.

This webinar will provide an overview of the UNDEPRESSME study which aims to unravel the molecular mechanisms underpinning the activity of microbial metabolites in the central nervous system, specifically in human derived neuronal and microglial cells, and a potential direct link between the gut microbiota and the brain in depression.

The zoom link to join the webinar will appear on this page 10 minutes before the webinar begins. Please return to this page to join.

About the iPSC webinar series

Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC) technology offers novel possibilities in studies of the basic molecular and cellular etiopathology of mental disorders as well as investigating drug response mechanisms and novel drug discovery. The iPSC webinar series on iPSC technology is organised by the ECNP iPSC Platform for Neuropsychiatry Network.

These online series, led by Early Career Scientists within the Network, aim to promote the sharing of knowledge and ideas across countries, advance the field of iPSC-based neuropsychiatry, and providing networking and training opportunities for participants.
