Title: From Cradle to Grave: Integrating Genetic, Family, and Environmental Factors in Mood Disorder Treatment

Outline: This lecture will explore how the treatment of mood disorders extends beyond biological factors, highlighting the importance of psychological and social influences, particularly family dynamics and early-life stress. Research findings will demonstrate how adversity and support systems affect brain function and treatment responses. Additionally, the challenges of studying these factors in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) will be discussed, including alternative approaches, such as longitudinal studies and personalized care, that are crucial for improving outcomes in real-world settings.
