The 36th Congress was held on 21-24 September 2024 in Milan, Italy. The Congress attracted nearly 6,500 participants from over 96 countries, 5,671 attending in-person in Barcelona and 774 virtually. It was an extraordinary turnout by any standards, but especially in what remains for many a difficult and uncertain time. It points very encouragingly to the vibrancy of the field, the enthusiasm of the ECNP community, and the quality of the science the congress was able to offer.
